Statement Of Faith
● We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the fully Inspired Word of God and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
● We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-3,14, Matt. 28-19, Isaiah 48:16)
● We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His miracles and His sinless life. (John 1:1, 14, Colossians 2:9)
● We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ; and in His ascension into heaven where He now intercedes for all that believe and that He will one day return to the earth in power and glory. (1 Cor. 15:3-4)
● We believe that man, created in the image of God, rebelled against His Creator and as a result incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God. We also believe that all are sinners and share in common the consequences of sin. (Gen. 1:26-27, Gen. 2:7, Isaiah 59:2, Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)
● We believe that eternal life is the free gift of God, available to all and made possible by the redeeming blood of Christ, shed on the cross; and that one can only be saved by true repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ. (Eph. 1:7, Col, 1:13-14, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Hebrews 9:12)
● We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved are saved unto the resurrection of life, the lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (1 Cor. 15:20-23, Rev. 20:6, John 5:28-29)
● We believe in the existence of Satan, archenemy of God and in the reality of spiritual warfare. (Luke 10:18, Matt. 4:1-11)
● We believe that the Holy Spirit personally indwells every child of God and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not only in existence and available to those who believe, but are essential to our personal spiritual growth and to the life of the Church. (1 Cor. 6:19-20, Eph. 1:13-14)
● We believe in and practice the sacraments of the historic church, that being Baptism and Communion. (Matt. 28:19-20, Luke 22:19-20)
● We believe that God created humanity in His image. God created male and female with perfect design to compliment each other. We believe that male or female gender is assigned in the womb by biology ie: chromosomes. (Gen. 1:27, Gen. 2:18, 21-22)
● We believe that marriage is ordained and blessed by God as a woman and a man “become one” for His glory. In scripture, the love between a husband and wife is a picture of Christ and His church. (Gen. 2:18,22-24, Malachi 2:14-16, Eph. 2:25-27, 31-32)
● We believe that singleness is a blessing and a single individual can serve the Lord in great ways as they live a celibate life devoted to Him. (1 Cor. 7:7-8, 1 Cor. 7:32-34, Matt 19:11-12)
